Write and share a feed
A feed is a Python file with a name, the timelines it reads, and a score() function that ranks posts.
- In Broadsheet, open Feeds and choose New feed, or copy one you like.
- Save it and use it for a while. Preview shows the top posts and why each one ranked.
- When you're happy, choose Share with the community. The app checks for anything personal first, such as one of your lists.
- A maintainer reads the code, usually within a few days. Follow it under Feeds › Your submissions.
- Once listed, it appears here and in everyone's Community tab. Updates go through the same review.
What shared feeds can use
Only crossposter.feeds and standard tools like math, collections and re. No network, files, eval or exec. Feeds only see posts already fetched into your timelines.
What sharing sends
The file, its name and description, and the credit line if you gave one. Never your handle or accounts. The app keeps a private receipt so it can check on the review; this site keeps only a fingerprint of it.
